[edit] The Issue
The Chicago Tara Committee has been formed to lend support of solidarity to those in Ireland and around the world in their efforts to save the Boyne Valley/Tara-Skryne Valley Civilization from destruction with the routing of the M3 motorway through the heart of Tara.
[edit] Introduction
This wiki aims to be a repository of information relating to the building of the controversial M3 expressway in Ireland, which runs through the Tara/Skyrne Valley (the most sacred spot in terms of Ireland's national heritage), and the efforts to reroute the motorway.
[edit] Contributing
If you are interested in using our systems, please consider contacting our CTC admins to set you up with all the online accounts. Here follows the services we offer:
[edit] Send Articles/Letters to the Media
For your convenience we have established a webform through which you can mail all the media. The webform is password protected to prevent spam. The username and password can be obtained from CTC admins. Go to the [Tara Newspaper & Media Direct Email Submission Form]
[edit] TaraTalk Chat Room
We have created an IRC channel at irc.freenode.net called #TaraTalk. There is an applet for those of you unfamiliar with IRC. The applet is password protected to prevent abuse. The username and password can be obtained from CTC admins. Please note that even though the applet is password protected, ANYONE, ANYWHERE has access to the chat room. [TaraTalk IRC Applet].
[edit] Adding to this Wiki
To contribute to this wiki, you should first request an account. For the time being we are manually approving accounts in an effort to reduce Spam/Vandalism. For information regarding how to edit pages on the wiki, please see [Help:Editing].
[edit] Shared Task List
As per "Steve & Jackie Coleman's suggestion of creating a task list and people signing up", in an effort to become more organized, we are using an online task list system called Request Tracker. It is essentially a collaborative, email based todo system. Please request an RT account. To access the system, go to [RT].
[edit] Silence for Tara
Anyone who is interested and has a cell phone capable of receiving text messages may send CTC admins their cell phone number and timezone to receive scheduled daily reminders from my computer at noon and 6 pm.
Note that we may have difficulty with Irish cell phones as we've never sent text messages to them before, but in theory it should work.
[edit] Regular Meetings
For meetings in the United States, see Save Tara Valley Committee.
